For those that don't know yet, the Australian Hip Hop Championships (AHC) is a hip hop showcase dance competition for crews with a qualifier in Sydney (April 5th) determining THREE overage crews and ONE junior crew to advance to the finals in Melbourne to be held on May 18th.
There's heaps of reasons this is the event NOT TO BE MISSED.
First up, qualifying crews from Sydney will get free 5-star accommodation at Crown Entertainment Complex in Melbourne.
The AHC has the most solid judging line-up this country has ever witnessed in a crew based competition: Patrick Chen, Lee Daniel, Gigi Torres and Sky Hoffman are scheduled to judge at the finals alongside six of Australia’s most respected dancers who will also be judging.
The finals are being held at The Palms at Crown Casino. The venue has the SICKEST lighting and sound technology in the southern hemisphere
The crews that have been registered to compete are some of the best crews in the country. So far, Rewind, Beatphonik and DVP have qualified for the finals and they've proven themselves to be at an international standard.
From Sydney, Nu Skool Club, Special Edition, Lemmings, Lego and Dopplegangers have already registered for the qualifiers.
The line-up of the crews so far will make this event one of the most competitive and rewarding experiences the dance scene has to offer. Full bragging rights as the #1 Hip Hop Crew in Australia goes to the winners!
