Confessions of a Serial Dancer - by Trina

I pull the hood of my jacket over, half covering my sweaty face; I am exhausted. These are the confessions of a serial dancer.

Rewind - The Australian Hip hop Championships 08 Prelim1

Vince Calingasan Rewind Sydney Workshop August September 2008

Vince Calingasan - Director of Rewind

Vince’s choreography is a work of art – a product of his own true ingenuity and artistry. He strives to bring music to life through dance – a blank canvas where paints combinations of steps that harmonize both lyrically and rhythmically – a skill not all choreographers possess.

As a dancer, Vince applies himself to a routine with the same discipline and soulfulness that he brings to his choreography. As a student, you will learn the importance of being able to put aside your own style and allowing yourself to be molded.

Embodying humility, kindness, and a sense of approachability, Vince is the perfect teacher. If you’re looking for experience, Vince is by no means lacking. At the respectable age of twenty-two he has accomplished a mountain of feats! Having choreographed, danced, and toured for huge artists such as J Wess, Israel, Jade McRae, and D’ark….you know who’s the man. His unique abilities have taken him all around Australia and even into your own homes via MTV. Vince has appeared on Israel’s “Old Skool Luv” and Jade McRae’s “So Hot Right Now” video clips. He’s even been on tour with J Wess on the “And 1 Mix Tape” Tour to Sydney and Perth….anyone for ball? It’s amazing this guy even has the time to sleep! His most recent achievements include placing 7th with his crew Rewind at the 2007 World Hip Hop Championships, and placing 2nd at the 2008 Australian Hip Hop Championships.

So get ready to rip up the dance floor….you’ve come to the right person to show you how it’s done. Vince will challenge you no matter what level you’re at…..GET READY TO BE INSPIRED!

Funny as! Beached Whale

August 17th 2008 00:30
Oh this video is heaps good! What better entertainment than an Aussie-made short animation about a beached whale with a Kiwi accent. My NZ friends say the accent is definitely not authentic and the use of the word "heaps" is part of Oz slang, which is why we find it so funny.

Best Airflare (breakdancing)

Airflare
This is pretty hilarious. An airflare is a move in breaking ("breakdancing") which is hard to describe, so for those who don't know what it is, please refer to the following video; if you already know what an airflare is, look at the next video, it's brilliant.

And now for the best airflare

I'm back.

August 14th 2008 23:41
Wow it's been 4 months since my last confession, and I've got lots to talk about, but hardly the time I used to have, to write about it all. I'm amazed at the strong readership of this blog despite the absence of posts for several posts.

I think I also went into a depression and lost confidence in writing, wondering who the hell cares anyway? So maybe it's best I go back to why I started writing in the first place - to share my passion with whoever would listen. And here I go again.

I've been running my dance studio for 8 months now and it's going well. I'm moving to a newer studio, one that's not as ghetto as what we have currently, and when that happens, it'll be all out from there.

So dancing, running a dance studio, full time work, full time study and some socialising to keep myself sane has left no free time for blogging. But I'll try my best Thanks to the faithful readers, you guys inspire me, even if it's just one person who email me asking "why no new posts?". Love you.
